Come visit me this Thursday, February 2nd, on the stoop of the studio! 618 NW Flanders, just around the corner from the Everett Street Lofts, from around 5 pm until around 9.
I'll have new stuff--dolls, paintings, some special Valentine's Day goodies plus...
I need to make space in my new studio! I'll have prints and older original paintings on sale. Can't wait to see you!
Glad it went well. I have a favour to ask. I would like to get into art journalling and I was wondering if you could recommend a book on it. There are so many to choose from. I need something that is sort of basic - tells me how to prep pages and also gives some imaginative prompts. Any ideas?
P.S. An idea for you - why don't you make a Youtube video of you making one of your dolls? You wouldn't have to show every little thing but it would be another marketing route (?)
Thank you! I would love to recommend a good art journalling book, but I haven't read any. I know a lot of people who have really enjoyed "Destroy This Book." Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but good for getting the creative juices un-stuck. Let me know if you find a good one!
It's funny that you mentioned the youtube thing because I have a desktop tripod on order for just such a project..!
